Ebola Readiness Surveys

APIC has conducted ongoing polls with its 15,000 members to assess attitudes about preparedness for Ebola and other lethal infectious diseases to help inform dialogue, indicate progress, and flag areas where additional work is necessary.

Ebola Recognition Wall

TIME magazine named “The Ebola Fighters” as person of the year. Ebola fighters are indeed worthy of this acknowledgment and we are proud to recognize our members who have joined the effort. We thank all IPs for their ongoing efforts.

Here we recognize IPs who have gone “above and beyond,” volunteering their time and expertise to help control the spread of Ebola domestically or abroad. If you have contributed to the effort, please let us know so we may list you on this page.

Resources From Additional Outside Organizations

APIC is working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other domestic and international partners in response to the current outbreak by helping and coordinating needed expertise with the relevant government agencies and keeping our members updated on what they need to know to be effective in the U.S.

APIC members served as faculty for the CDC training course that prepare U.S. healthcare workers before deploying to West Africa.

Infection preventionists who are interested in working directly with the Ebola response teams in West Africa need to work through the relevant agencies, including WHODoctors Without Borders, and CDC. CDC directs people to USAID.

APIC will continuously notify members of updated Ebola-related resources from APIC, CDC, and other organizations.
